Poem:
Paude nahi akele chaya hai inki sanghi sathi,
Par aatma akeli vaadi ki god mein chand darpan uchalte hai.
Chandi ka jagmagata vo jhilmilata mandva,
Khosha ssa khil utha hai is mein junani taara.
Parbat nahi akele chalte, chalte hai saath unke,
Vashi hava ke jhonke relein par aatma akeli gaati hai,
Ek surat-e-sarmanddi bhi, Sagar lahar lahar mein, Bela chara raha hai.
Nar-Nari ke milan ki dariya nahi akele behte,
Behti hai saath unke maujein, Inki par, aatma akeli.
Ghazal:
Phir chalak uthi aankhein, Shama gin rahi hai phir,
Raah ke dhundhalke mein Intezaar ki ghadiyaan.
Sunkar mere nagme ko Laal-o-Gul se lao uthi,
Zarre-Zarre mein machla rang wo gham ka ek tufaan.
Mujho kya khabar aasu abar ke thame kaise,
Mai kal bhi giriyan thi aur aaj bhi giriyan.
Tere naam ne jaadu kuch jagah diya aisa,
Khaar posh raaho mein jaise beech gayi kaliyaan.
